Introduction
Spolu aims to strengthen the Roma voice in Europe. We promote an equal and respected place in society for Roma. Through empowerment and grassroots mobilisation we give Roma the tools to become active citizens and enable them to strive for their rights. Spolu wants Roma to participate as active fellow citizens in their own societies, without ignoring their responsibilities in changing their own situation. In order to enable active citizenship, the growing anti-gypsyism tendencies in society need to be addressed firmly by enabling Roma to speak up and to express their identity.
