EDROM
In 2007, Spolu started collaboration with Turkish Roma organisation EDROM and involved them in and through the ERGO network. From 2009, Spolu succeeded to find financial resources from the Matra programme of the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to support their organisation. As the first Roma organisation in Turkey, EDROM is involved in lobby and advocacy actions regarding Roma issues. The organisation is located in Edirne, in the European Thrace region. EDROM is a leading organisation in the ROMDEF network, which unites Roma organisations in Turkey.
Through its membership of ERGO, EDROM has access to lobby and advocacy at European level. At the same time, it enables ERGO to strengthen its base and enlarges its claim to represent a large base of grassroots Roma in a variety of countries on European territory.
